The manual is intended primarily for teaching bilingual German-Russian and Russian-German translation for Russian-speaking and German-speaking students. Examples are given both in Russian and in German; tasks include bi-directional translation work. Sections are provided with theoretical calculations and contains a variety of exercises and activities that illustrate a particular aspect of translation problems when making decisions. The manual can be used in the teaching of translation from the third year of study in high school.
