In the sequel to "The Name Diviner", the stakes are elevated for the twins, Abel and Isabel Farthen, and their friends as they continue their respective quests. Abel and the dyre bear Nairadj must traverse the treacherous expanses of the Kalnayan Wastelands as they search for an unlikely ally: Queen Sigourney- a Wildling queen with armies vast enough to combat those of the Overlord Malikh. First, they must survive the horrors of the Wastes: Nightstalkers; feral vampires who hunt in packs. Meanwhile, Isabel, her master Sarto and their newfound friends Tibelde and Eimar- a sibling pair of warrior gnomes- continue their journey southeast to seek haven with the mysterious Queen Morgana of Endelheim.
