But their pre-honeymoon expedition gets derailed when Miles gets pulled into an intrigue involving the long-ago history of his Venetian Palazzo, putting his and Casie's lives and future in jeopardy.

Despite an unexpected welcome from Cabo, The Club's resident cat, the Irishman persuades Miles to travel to Sneem, in southwestern Ireland, where Miles has become the owner of an old manor house, for the annual celebration of an ancient Celtic festival. Miles' arrival in Ireland draws him into a deadly intrigue involving an artifact whose origins are lost in antiquity, and confronts him with the compromising history of his own Irish ancestors.
