Chasing Daylight contains early and lost poems which were left out of Running To The Light, Alexandra's earlier book of poetry. Almost all were written during her childhood and adolescence- the formative years, so to speak. Those years are often a dark and confusing time, one where we struggle to understand ourselves and our place in the world. A time we spend "chasing daylight". This is one girl's journey.

The Darkness Between Stars is a collection of poetry spanning over a decade of the author's life. It is in some ways an autobiography, as she used her writing as a way to express her innermost thoughts and feelings, her fears and hopes, pain and joy. The styles and subjects of the poems change, but one theme remains constant: passion. The author's reliance on words to get her through life's difficulties has led to a group of poems truly written not just from the heart but from the soul.
