In book six of Das Kaiser Haus series, Mad Maxx finds himself the hostage of a new enemy. Through a brutal series of events, the Voter called Malfred the Mastermind has trapped the boy in his metal. The five shards are left to fend for themselves when Der Hund is accidentally sent into the void. They find the task of discovering a path to escape their deadly situation far too complex to handle without their General's help. Maximillian "births" a brilliant solution that they all hope will ultimately set the boy Mad Maxx free. That is if Taube can manage to remember the reason he was created in the first place. Even the House leaders seem to be eager to knock him back to his knees. If only they could find an excuse. Maybe the answer to his dilemma has been there all along. The man named Lucus has been following him from a safe distance, watching and waiting in the shadows. His motives are unclear, but his behaviors hint that he is dangerously disturbed.

King Lucus generously offers him a golden opportunity that he simply won't allow Mad Maxx to refuse. Much to his horror, this shady intervention has landed Mad Maxx in quite a colorful mess. While King Lucus locks him in gold. Jonas continues to demand that he produces red. Peter beats him until he turns blue, and now even his beloved black collars have added to his ever-increasing misery. With nowhere left to run, and without a moments respite from the chronic stress, Mad Maxx is finally wearing out. He is desperate to take a much-needed break from his unbearable reality. Unbeknownst to the residents of Das Kaiser Haus, their Mortar King is being eaten alive by a mysterious illness. While the disease robs him of his mental acuity, Byron secretly makes his move to take possession of the ailing monarch. This once seemingly 'love-sick' but harmless nuisance in Mad Maxx's life has managed to do the impossible. Misled into believing his beloved Felicity no longer loves him. The Mortar King falls victim to the brutal Byron's clever brainwashing techniques. Slowly, Mad Maxx discovers he's unable to imagine surviving his hellish journey without the Silk Prince's mystical pain killing potions. Under the influence and out of control, the shards begin to lash out at those they feel have wronged Mad Maxx. The sudden demonstration of brute strength by the Mortar King elicit fear among the men that lay claim to his body and soul. Jonas, Peter, and Mad Lucus are forced to work together in a last ditch effort to try to save the Mortar King...from himself.

The seventeen-and-a-half year old Christian Axel has been attempting to put together a plan to escape Das Kaiser Haus for years. He is willing to trade his own body to those who would assist him in his effort to leave. The Silk Queen, Gretta, has forced Christian's Dominant named Mad Lucus to turn over control of Christian so that she can punish him in a manner that will either maim or kill him. She turns to a greedy Dominant named Bartram who is a sadistic and vicious master of sexual abuse. Unbeknownst to Christian who has lived in the Haus for years, the Haus hosts an annual winter party for rising officers of the Stasi. Christian is stunned to learn who the true owners of the Haus are. Christian finds himself in a perilous position as he is one of two persons fed into the maw of the Stasi party. In years past, none from the Haus have survived this party when the Stasi officers lined up to leave the Haus for another year.This story is brutal as Gretta and Christian attempt to purge the other from the Haus. One is clever in her attempt to eliminate Christian while the other is a master survivor. Will one prevail over the other or will the status quo be maintained despite desperate efforts by both Royals to win.

After three days of unspeakable horror at the hands of the Stasi and a sadistic Dominant acting on the orders of the Silk Queen Gretta, the tables have begun to turn in favor of the seventeen year old Mortar King Christian Axel.Christian Axel gathers his forces that consist of an eclectic group of Dungeon Masters, some members of the Russian Guard, silver pleasure submissives and trainees, black collar submissives, a Stable Master, his brutal half-brother, a Wolf Pack of loan sharks and gamblers, and the Fur King. Christian Axel is concerned about the dependability of his allies as he launches his revenge. Lined up against Christian Axel and aligned with the Silk Queen is the Captain of the Russian Guard, the Vampire Jonas, the Master of the Great Hall, ambitious fourth floor Dominants and FemDoms, lesser first floor Dominants, past abusers of Christian Axel, and his oldest half-brother. The forces of both sides have gathered in the Great Hall to settle their need for an unappealable resolution as the doors swing shut. The Mortar King's rage can now be expressed.

The Elder Claus, the oldest Elder of Das Kaiser Haus and born in 1890, shares with Christian Axel many of the secrets of the Haus. The Haus, nearly three hundred years old, is both a place of pleasure and of death. Starting in the 1930s and onward the Haus was under the constant scrutiny and use by the Gestapo, the SS, the KGB, and the Stasi. To survive the members of the Haus complied with the agents of the police states. They also, at times, hid hunted members of society that were sought by state agents. The deaths far exceeded the lives saved. Christian Axel, born in 1957, is five months shy of his approaching his eighteenth birthday. He was trained to be the ultimate pleasure submissive known as the Priceless. He is adept at providing the greatest of sexual pleasures as well as putting to death a list of persons given to him by a mysterious cabal of Haus leaders. As a consequence, he is sought out by those seeking to use his sexual prowess as well as by those who want to rise to the top through the elimination of their competitors. As Mortar King, Christian Axel, will be incarcerated in the "Palace" located way below in a subterranean cell located deep in the foundation of Haus. Before then Christian Axel has to win the loyalty through fear of his subjects. He also must name a Regent that will serve as his Voice while he is locked down below. There is heavy competition for the post that includes an abandoned Royal named Lucus, an Elder who thinks he is a Vampire named Jonas who is also married under Haus law to Christian, a sexual sadist and half-brother named Byron, and the Silk Queen named Gretta who is under a death sentence once her pregnancy comes to an end. There are others, currently unknown, who also want to be the Voice. The competitors are ready to go for control of the Haus. Others, who may not succeed in their quest, thinking killing Christian Axel is a solution to their failed efforts.
