Mad Maxx has learned a lot about survival, the human heart and sacrifice throughout his turbulent childhood. The one thing he has come to understand is when he fails to master his brutal life lessons, he will have to pay with his flesh and blood. His painful experiences have taught him that trust carries a price tag he simply cannot afford to pay. Paranoia rules his world and rightfully so. Agony, defeat, and death lurk around every corner waiting to swallow him up. His plight has become a nightmare worse than the one he already has endured. Left without choices, he must depend on the only person he can be sure is looking out for his own best interest; himself. Trouble is, there is more than one of him. He has been so distracted avoiding the traps set for him by the unscrupulous in the House in his race for the finish line. He has forgotten the most dangerous foe anyone can face, is always the one that gazes back from the mirror. Mad Maxx has been held prisoner for most of his childhood. Abused in every way, neglected and unable to escape, he has survived any way he could. As the light at the end of his tunnel grows brighter, he begins to suspect it has blinded him to the harshness of reality. Language in italics is a conversation between the adult male Master Mad Maxx and his female submissive Meine Liebe.

Book three of the Collar King series finds that Mad Maxx's flock of lambs are growing larger by the minute. It seems that everyone has the Maxx Madness. All around the first and fourth floor hearts that once were cold beat with fresh fervor. The young Priceless Dominant seems to be leading everyone he touches right to their dreams. For only the price of giving a name, and of course shouldering the responsibility of caring for the one that will give you all they have; anyone high or low born can find the green fields of happiness. Except for the poor cursed shepherd himself.Everyone knows that Mad Maxx has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. No one doubts he has come by the illness honestly. He has a long history of abject subjugation, torture, and abuses of the most disgusting kinds. Yet, despite the chaos inside his head, his twisted perceptions are starting to make sense to some of the residents of the Das Kaiser Haus. They are starting to question the world they have always assumed to be just and righteous. Some are even asking themselves if what they do is not 'immoral, criminal and cruel.' Others are working hard to prevent a revolution. Is it all this turbulence real or just the delusions of a severely mentally ill young man? Mad Maxx demonstrates that sometimes, madness is more reliable than sanity in a world where nothing is ever what it appears to be.

In the late Spring of 1975, the residents of Das Kaiser Haus attended the coronation of their legendary Mortar King. More than three hundred years before, the founders of this secret place of forbidden pleasures had decided the Master of them all should be an insane monarch. Everyone had always treated this ancient prophecy as nothing but a joke, but for Mad Maxximillian it is about to become anything but funny. He will learn a painful lesson about the sacrifice expected of a supreme ruler when he discovers that in the brutal Das Kaiser Haus it is not good to be king. Mad Maxximillian should have already figured that out. After all nothing could be as uncomfortable as sitting on a throne made of stone.

Grannybat's Weird Tales and Gothic Stories, Volume one," by Alexandria Ausman, is a collection of seven stories that have been artfully fictionalized from the author's real-life experiences as the manager of a perpetual care cemetery and mortuary work. From the bittersweet romance of "The Donut Lover" to the coincidental outcome of "He's Okay" Ausman urges the reader to consider the mysteries surrounding both life and the eventuality of death. Her characters' often-poignant recollections, laments of missed opportunities, and devastating consequences of mistakes explore the very human emotional tendency to categorize the unexplained as supernatural.

The new Haus order has been imposed by Maxximillian who is also known by those who love him as Christian Axel. The Russian Guard leadership is adjusting to the rise of the Mortar King. The replacements for exiled black collars are learning their new positions. The Fur King, who financed the Mortar King's revolution within the Haus, is on his deathbed. He sends multiple messages to Christian Axel to attend him. Claus, the Fur King, tells Christian Axel the story of the Haus. The Haus in 1974 had been formed more than two hundred years earlier as an exclusive Haus for the entertainment of the powerful and the rich. Claus introduces the story upon his arrival as a social refugee in the early 1900s. The description and history of the Haus, along with the leadership that rises and dies there by Claus, is of little interest to Christian Axel. When Claus finally starts to tell the story of the beginning of Christian Axel, the Mortar King rebels and believes the verbal history given by Claus is a lie. Is it a lie? The reader will have to decide whether Claus is telling it as it really happened or whether Christian's denials are more likely to be true.
