Learn Your ABC'S with Haystack represents a keen way to teach the alphabet to developing children. Through word associations, rhyming schemes and pictorial representations, Learn Your ABC'S with Haystack promotes effective teaching technologies to advance the knowledge levels of students from pre-school through elementary school. From an Instructional Design standpoint Learn Your ABC'S with Haystack superbly promotes learning technology strategies adaptable to many of Gardner's Learning Styles, which places Learn Your ABC'S with Haystack on a pedestal. When considering platforms by which to advance basic learning and communication skills, teachers now have an exceptional new tool to aid them in their endeavors. Most notably, children will develop a personal relationship with Haystack, a courageous horse who has appeared in several other works. This character bonding boldly prompts young children to develop a relationship based on trustworthiness which can potentially last for many years...much in the way Dr. Seuss and Fred Rogers afforded those of us in "older" generations for several decades, making Learn Your ABC'S with Haystack a must read

The Boy Who Couldn't Talk, the story of Haystack and his endeavors, is an incredible western tale. One part storytelling, one part adventure, The Boy Who Couldn't Talk is an excellent book for audiences of all ages and experiences. From those familiar with western life, to new cowpokes, an imaginative tale brilliantly unfolds right before your very eyes. Anna Elizabeth Judd exuberantly brings the images and sentiments of the west to full life through the eyes of a young horse...Haystack. Haystack experiences a flurry of emotions typically reserved for humans. Yet Judd compartmentalizes the keen, if not curious, mind of a child all the way through to maturity, and it is through these glasses we are treated to an amazing, inspirational story. As Haystack develops throughout the story, we are treated to life in the west and the relationship between trainer and horse. Educating anyone unfamiliar with western culture is one purpose of Judd's book. Yet, at the core of Judd's work is the special relationship between Haystack, and Adam...the boy who couldn't talk. This partnership cemented one final aspect of The Boy Who Couldn't Talk, the role of God in our lives, prompting Judd's work as a must read The Boy Who Couldn't Talk is a special work, regardless of one's age or experiences.

Horsemen are exposed to the inclement weather; hot summer heat, stinging sweat in the eyes, and spring mud up to the knees winter. Not to mention, breaking the ice on the water pails, snow falling, and ice storms. But, these inconveniences pale in comparison to the spiritual enlightenment received spending every day with a horse. Competent trainers have passion in their hearts for horses. Horsemanship is learned in a multitude of fashions, but guidance from an Equestrian Professional is the key to success. For example, I have had the privilege of being instructed by two world hall of fame trainers: Pete Kyle and Lighting Leonard Moore. They taught me the art of patience and perfection, two things that are a constant struggle when handling horses. Below is a literary reference that has given me insight when handling a horse. "In any question of wisdom or prudence which the king put to them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom." Daniel 1; 20: My goal in writing "The Handbook of Horsemanship" is to help anyone who reads the book to become a better horseman and to understand that training a horse is better done by using patience and perfection, not abuse. In my vast years of training, there was one characteristic that remained consistent with horses, either young or old. Equus is a herd animal, therefore the fight-or-flight instinct is the basis for survival. Training must follow the patterns of natural instincts. When the lessons stray, abuse becomes the foundation. Even though man domesticated Equus around 4000 B.C., there are sixty million years of evolution. Predispositions do not fade overnight.

The darkness of space has captured mankind's imagination from the beginning of time. Oral traditions carried on by the Greeks and their methodology exposed even more evidence of beings beyond humans on Earth. As early as 5,000 years ago, Henges were built; the largest of which is Stonehenge, used by astronomers to show them key astrological moments. Therefore, the idea of other life similar to humans among the stars is definitely a reality. But.... do they want to be exposed? In a Distant calling, the young Daniel Weber lives near The Kennedy Space Center in Florida, along with sister Jill and her parents. His father, Alex Weber, is a high-ranking scientist and designer at NASA within the satellite division. He designed and built a satellite for deep space exploration called Sweeper, launched in 2008. The mission was designed to explore the Alpha Centauri galaxy. Top priority; to ascertain if life exists.Daniel is a 10-grade student at Liton High School. One of his passions was developed due to the unique dreams he experiences. The only way Daniel could help make sense of his visions was to draw them. Most of the art are representations of the other worlds he sees. Since Daniel has a love of space travel as his father, he joins Alex at NASA on many occasions. On the annual art show, Daniel enters two of his pieces and wins the competition. However, the artwork comes into play when messages and warnings are transmitted through Daniel's dreams. As the satellite closes on the Alpha Centauri solar system, the messages Daniel has received in his dreams come to life, when Sweeper returns images from Alpha Proxima, a planet in the solar system. Earth's future is heading into peril."Glaring, streaking colored ribbons that never seem to stop. The Aurora Borealis, billions of years old, it dances through the sky. It seems like the performance is only for our eyes. Little do we know that all our solar systems get the same show." ---- from the author.

She was a Mustang that roamed free for the first part of her life. Then one day she and many other horses were rounded up and sold. They would all one day become rodeo broncs. A long time ago in a big red barn is where the story of my life begins. The big red barn was set on a hilltop, surrounded by grass so high it would tickle my belly. The trees were so tall they hung over the rooftop. I remember how the morning sun rising above the mountains would make the sky turn bright red. The days started with the allure of new adventures to experience My name is Haystack. I am a horse. I remember playing with Boots the dog and Specs the rooster behind the barn in the field where my mama, Libby, would watch us.Wesley, my owner, tells the story of the day they were rounded up, told to him by the old man who helped in this endeavor. His story went something like this: On the morning the horses were gathered up the trees were frozen from the frost; the wind blew so cold, it was like we were at the North Pole. So, rounding up these horses quickly was the task at hand. We parked our trailers at the top of the canyon wall, in hopes we would find the Mustangs at the bottom of the cliff, warming themselves against the rocks where the sun had been shining.
