This poetry book starts with an epic poem, "A Song for Our Time," which begins with the end of the Spanish flu pandemic and ends with the start of the COVID-19 virus. It covers the years 1920 through January of 2020. In "Other Poems." the poetry reflects my experiences and thoughts about the decade 1920 through January 2020.. Also, included are historical, fanciful, and humorous poems about various subjects. Sample poem: I AM PLEADING FOR THE FUTURE and for a time when hatred and cruelty will not control the hearts of mankind and when we can learn by reason and judgment and understand that ALL LIFE IS WORTH SAVING.

Benjamin goes on a canary hunt, which gets him in trouble with the law. A police officer takes him to the Oregon Humane Society. They help him find his way to a fur-ever home.
