The Genesis Revelation Connection

The Genesis Revelation Connection

sidottu
This is a combination of commentary on Genesis and Revelation and how they are tied together by the Jubilee Year in the Bible and by the deed to the earth/scroll in Revelations. This book will explain how the plan of God was to free us from the enslavement of Satan through history and how God has always been forthright in revealing his plans for mankind as opposed to a common belief that God has shrouded the history in mysteries. It includes many world history events that are not included in the Bible to pull together a full understanding of the history of mankind from the perspective of God. Included are items from archaeology that verify and validate the Bible as a history. It gives a brief interpretation of the coming years of Revelation from a world perspective. Included are viewpoints from other researchers as well, such as Velikovsky, David Rohl, and George Roux. The intent is to give a variety of sources so that the reader can come to their own conclusions.

This book qualifies as an overall commentary and reference. Inside are lists of kings and rulers, archaeological references, commentary on various subjects from the Bible, chronology of the Bible as well as some chronology of non-Biblical events, explanations as to the calendars of the past and of different countries, and statistics. A variety of Biblical versions are given; the Masoretic as interpreted by Jewish publication societies, the Septuagint, the Latin Vulgate, the Samaritan Text, the Jewish version of the Masoretic, and of course, the authorized King James version of 1611, and all of these are given in their English translation so hopefully you won't need to know the different languages. When they disagree with one another, the attempt was made to show verses from each to compare. If you ever wondered about the different versions. The format is probably different from what people expect. The format follows the example set by James Ussher (translator for the authorized King James), using section and paragraphs instead of chapters. While it is possible to just read alone, having a Bible handy to compare is suggested. The main source is the Bible but many non-canon references are given; The Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, the Book of Jasher, and even the Ipuwer Papyrus. Many believe the Bible is myth and God is just someone out there casually gazing down (if there is belief in a God). This book is intended to bring the mystery of God's plan out and show the mercy and salvation of God through His son, Christ. He's not so out of touch as some may believe. It is an attempt to create a desire for the individual reader to start diving in to learn more about this Living Transparent God.

Besides the various English versions, many might have heard about, but know little about, the different versions in their original languages. The Masoretic Text (Hebrew version) is known as the mainstay among Hebrew scholars. There is also the Septuagint, or the Greek version of the Bible, the Latin Vulgate, and finally, the Samaritan Text. Serious Bible students may have heard of these but often lack the ability to explore these different versions in depth. Fortunately, expert translations of each of these versions into English make it unnecessary to spend years learning the different "source" languages of the Bible. This work provides the King James verse alongside the same verse from different translators. The intention of this work is to convert the casual Bible reader into a more serious reader, one who is intent on understanding the overall Plan of God, His works, and His purpose for mankind. It includes commentary on various subjects covered but not fully explained in the Bible, such as the concept of the Bride Price. For instance, few understand why Rachel did not bear Joseph until the end of Jacob's 14 years of labor. This work explains why God withheld giving Rachel a child until the end of those 14 years. There are also archaeological sources and documents that provide evidence of various events in the Bible. The autobiography of Nebuchadnezzar, for example, offers detailed insights into his rule that are often omitted from conventional history. Additionally, the many Eponym Lists of the Assyrians and the Sumerian King List document the different ruling dynasties of the Babylonians, while sources like the Turin Canon provide information on Egyptian dynasties. If you seek to know more about God, this work will assist you in your quest for truth.
