About the Author - B.T. Scherer B.T. Scherer grew up in a small town in South Florida, where she spent most of her childhood outdoors. She loved watching the little rabbits that played in her yard-darting across the lawn and disappearing down rabbit holes. That early fascination with animals stayed with her. She later studied biology and zoology in college, nurturing a lifelong passion for nature and wildlife. Her stories are inspired by the animals she grew up observing and cherishing. At a young age, her father brought the family to the Pyrenees in northern Spain, where she first learned to ski. The sport quickly became one of her greatest joys. She later developed her skills on the slopes of Verbier and Gstaad while attending high school at the Institute Alpin Montesano. Years later, during a quiet ride up a chairlift at NorthStar ski resort, she spotted a set of tiny rabbit tracks winding through the snow and disappearing into the woods. At that moment, the idea for Skeeter the Ski Bunny was born.
