Married to the Elder Leslie Bean for nearly 50 years. They have five adult children: Kevin, Karen, Da'Niel, Ola and Les Jr. Evangelist Bean was called to the ministry in April 1969 and has ministered on skid row, boy's camps, women's prison, convalescent homes, television, radio, ministering in the Virgin Islands, Freeport Haiti, as well as locally. She is the founder and CEO of Outreach/Breakthrough Ministries, established in 1975. Evangelist Bean is totally involved in the music ministry, having served under Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Dr. Judith McAllister, Elder Tony McGill, and Evangelist Markita Knight, and Elder Donnell Wright State Minister of Music So.
