Sonnets and Poems by Barbara Millar were written between the years 1990 and 1996. Barbara was born in west London and worked as a legal secretary for 26 years in the city of London.

The Chiswick Villain was written by Barbara Millar in 2008. It is set in London in the days of Queen Victoria and concerns two notorious villains. Upon release from Newgate Prison they set off for Chiswick in west London and carry out a series of burglaries after targeting the rich residents in that area.

The Chiswick Villain by Barbara Millar is a novel set in Victorian England. James Ashley is a particularly colourful character who grew up in the poverty stricken East End of London as a Cockney who had only ever known poverty. He meets Moll Raby in Newgate Prison and a romance soon springs up between them. James and Moll, upon their release from Newgate Prison, pledge to set out to make their fortune, and make a formidable pair as they set out to rob, deceive, and otherwise deprive the rich Chiswick folk of their worldly goods in the most effective manner, using every trick in the book.

King Arthur and Queen Guinevere received the Round Table as their wedding gift and King Leodegran who was Queen Guinevere's father, was the keeper of the Round Table. The legend of the Round Table is, that although King Arthur wanted fifty knights to be seated at his table, only 28 knights could be found after searching throughout Europe and Britain, but there are only 24 places.

Penny A Corner A Novel by Barbara Millar was first published in 2008. The story is set in London. It concerns the murder of a London doctor who lived in Brownlow Street near Holborn London. The story is based on the Trial of Master Henry Harrison. Penny A Corner contains the Old Bailey Transcript of Henry Harrison's Trial at the Old Bailey London concerning the murder of the Doctor, the subject of this novel, which appears as an Appendix at the back of the book. Permission to publish the court Transcript was given to Barbara Millar author, by the University of Texas USA in 2008. Barbara Millar worked as a Legal Secretary in the city of London for 26 years and lives in England.

I became interested in the history of King Arthur after studying Elizabethan history and in my book The King's Quinto (published in 2002 in NC. USA), John Talbot Raleigh's servant determines to find out why Sir Walter Raleigh was executed in 1618. I visited Oriel College Oxford University in 1993 with a former colleague, solicitor and barrister Mr. P.L.R. Mitchell, LLB, Oxon who attended Oxford University himself. In particular we visited Oriel College and it was there that I was shown the Round Table of the Knights Templar of King Arthur and having signed the Buttery book, I continued to study Elizabethan history which led to this short book about King Arthur. Penny a Corner written by Barbara Millar in 2007 is set in the Holborn area of London in the days of the Sailor King. It concerns the murder of an esteemed doctor and takes into account the trial of Master Henry Harrison at the Old Bailey, London.

The Leadenhall Watchman by Barbara Millar was written in 2008. Set in a one year time span in 1692, the story takes account of the murder of a London doctor of Brownlow Street The murder takes place in Leadenhall Market, and ultimately led to the Old Bailey trial of Master Henry Harrison a Gentleman of London.
