There are dozens of stories of encounters with unknown animals east of the Mississippi River. He comes to terms with his new fate with a circle of new friends that help guide him through his journey to fight a coven of vampires set on revenge. We learn about Marek as he documents the last few months of his life prior to being shackled to a wall in a dank basement and meeting the monsters that he thought only existed in books and nightmares while he awaits his fate. This novel is based on the short story "The Kalas Papers: My First Rodeo" that appeared in the horror anthology Autumn Tales II: Pumpkin Slice Nightmares in 2023 by Anatolian Press.
