What if Romeo had wings and Juliet a barbed tail? When the succubus Lorelei sees Azaziel across Lost Angels, she knows he's been kicked out of Heaven, but is not yet Fallen. She resolves to do whatever it takes to bring the angel down. Unfortunately, Lorelei doesn't realize that Azaziel has an agenda of his own. Taking her back to a burned-out church, he forces a mortal girl's soul into the devil girl's flesh. Then the succubus needs to find an exorcist who can cast the ghost out of her. With all the supernatural warriors of Los Angeles looking on, neither the angel nor the succubus can imagine how love will derail their plans. "Fans of paranormal romance, urban fantasies, kick-ass fights, and some pretty damn hot sex, check out Lost Angels, the new book by Loren Rhoads and Brian Thomas " - Dana Fredsti, author the Spawn of Lilith series In the days before the Flood, Azaziel had been a Watcher, sent down to help God's creatures on Earth. He fell in love with one of Cain's granddaughters and they passed her mortal life in bliss. Now he's imprisoned in the Los Angeles basin. His angelic brethren, Heaven's misfits, don't understand the longing Aza feels: once he had been loved entirely for himself. The succubus Lorelei doesn't know any of this when she sets her sights on Azaziel. All she knows is that the angel's fall will bring glory to Hell and acclaim to any succubus who accomplishes it. Of course, it never occurs to Lorelei that Azaziel might try to tame her by possessing her with a mortal girl's soul. Can the succubus find an exorcist before the fury of Hell is unleashed? The story concludes in Angelus Rose, out now

London's streets once echoed with the sound of sirens, the rumble of planes overhead, and the courage of children learning to live through the unthinkable. During the Blitz of World War II, families faced nights filled with bombs, fire, and uncertainty. Yet even in the darkest hours, hope, resilience, and kindness shone brightly-especially through the eyes of the youngest Londoners. This book takes readers on a powerful journey into the world of children who lived through night raids, blackouts, and evacuation trains that carried them far from home. It shows how ordinary boys and girls discovered extraordinary strength-finding comfort in underground shelters, carrying small suitcases filled with essentials, and learning to adapt to new families in the countryside. Some faced separation from their parents, others found bravery in supporting their neighbors, and all carried lessons that would last their entire lives. Told in a clear, engaging voice for young readers, these stories reveal what it meant to grow up in a city under siege and how children's voices became symbols of courage and hope. More than just history, it is a reminder that resilience and kindness are timeless-and that even the smallest acts of bravery can shine against the darkest skies.

The division of India in 1947 was more than a political decision-it was one of the largest and most devastating human migrations in history. As borders were hastily drawn, millions of ordinary people found their homes suddenly on the "wrong" side of a line on a map. Families fled in fear, communities that had lived side by side for centuries fractured overnight, and trains packed with refugees rolled across the subcontinent, many never reaching their destination. Between one and two million lives were lost, and countless more were forever changed. This book tells the story of how a land was divided and how that division left deep scars that continue to shape South Asia today. From the political battles of leaders like Gandhi, Nehru, and Jinnah, to the personal testimonies of survivors who carried both heartbreak and resilience, it reveals the human cost of rushed decisions and the dangers of division and hate. It also explores the acts of courage, kindness, and solidarity that shone through even in the darkest hours. Both a history and a reminder, it invites readers to reflect on the fragile balance between conflict and coexistence-and why the memory of 1947 still matters for the world we live in now.
Sociology Broken Down In An Understandable Way
Human behavior is never random-it's part of a larger pattern woven by history, culture, power, and connection. This engaging and thought-provoking book invites readers to see those patterns clearly, revealing how society shapes every choice, belief, and relationship we hold. From family life to global politics, it explores the invisible systems that guide modern life, helping readers understand how structures like class, race, gender, education, religion, and technology interact to form the social world around us. Blending theory with real-world examples, it turns abstract concepts into meaningful insights that can be seen in everyday experiences-how norms influence behavior, how inequality persists, and how collective action can drive change. Readers will learn to view headlines, workplaces, and communities through a sociological lens, recognizing that individual lives are deeply connected to larger social forces. Designed for curious adults, students, and professionals alike, this book brings clarity to the complexity of modern society without jargon or academic barriers. It doesn't just explain how society functions-it challenges readers to think critically about their place within it. Whether you're new to sociology or returning to it with fresh eyes, this book offers the tools to see the world differently and act within it more thoughtfully.

This is a story about a person with a lifelong dream to sail the Atlantic. The reader will quickly realise that I started this adventure with a large helping of blissful ignorance. Perhaps that was not a bad thing bearing in mind what I was taking on. My sailing experience was limited. What you might call a weekend sailor. What is even more remarkable is the way we all start something and being human feel obliged to finish. It doesn't occur to us to stop and consider what we are really taking on. It's like the snowball rolling down the hill. Once momentum is started there's no stopping the forward rush until the bottom is reached. I'm glad my snowball never deviated or broke up or hit a brick wall on the way down. However there were many moments when it very nearly run out of steam and met meltdown. Here is my story in all its raw and open honesty.
