Unmasked guides readers through a process of becoming what God authentically ordained them to be. The chapters provide a historical narrative of the author's lineage and life, where the characters struggled with emotions that they masked for others' sake. The masquerade of the author's ancestors provided the catalyst for the emotional wreck that he became. With an upbringing rooted in the church as a preacher's kid, the author identifies how unsupported church legislation perpetuates the masked emotions described in the book. After determining that these principles cause brokenness, the author reveals four components to removing the mask; M-Meditation, A-Affirmation, S-Salvation, and K-Knowledge. After we have unmasked our true selves, the "After-Mask" provides reflections of the peace which comes to all who live authentically.
