Bear Company, five stuffed bears-turned-armored protectors, is escorting a young boy named Timmy out of the city on the way to meet up with his father, a famous scientist who opened a portal to another world. But the Dark, shadowy creatures from another dimension, lurk around every corner, waiting for their chance to ensnare Timmy. The bears find another child, Anna, a young orphan girl, and try to save her from the Dark, but find themselves terribly outnumbered. But things quickly get spooky when the bears find themselves lost in a cornfield and chased by the Dark, shadowy creatures from another world that are bent on capturing Timmy for their leader, Total Dark. With the help of the Homestead Defense Force, a group of rugged barnyard stuffed animals, they will have to spend the night defending a creepy barn against a swarm of the Dark, led by not one, but two powerful shadows that want to snatch Timmy away from the bears.

Wolf Squad, the rowdy bunch from the Dark Corps, has parted ways from Bear Company and their mission to protect Timmy Barnes in order to fight the evil forces of the Dark that remain in the city. But what should be an easy hunt turns into a disaster as night falls, their secret weapon fails, and the entire city falls under a blackout caused by the very enemy the wolves are hunting. Young Timmy Barnes and his friends, Anna and Glen, find themselves lost in a vast forest. Luckily, they're protected by Bear Company, five stuffed bears turned armored guardians, to help them find their way to the river and the next stage of their journey to reunite Timmy with his father. But as night approaches, a thick dark fog covers the entire forest. The bears and the children get separated and are unable to find each other again. The Forest Guard, a unit of woodland creatures, comes to their aid, but the Dark responsible for the fog is very clever and finds ways to keep them apart. As if that's not bad enough, Timmy's former nanny is hot on his trail, determined to finally find him. The Forest Guard is sure that if they can get to the river, they can help Timmy escape to safety... but not everyone might make it that far.

Ever since the beginning, Timmy Barnes has had the protection of his five armored guardians, Bear Company, to help him on his journey. But now, as he and his friend Anna head down a dark river, they have only two of the bears with them. Timmy Barnes, his best friend Anna, and the five members of Bear Company have reached their toughest challenge yet. Though it seems impossible, they have help in the form of the Alpine Rangers, a special unit of the Dark Corps made specifically for mountain-climbing. Even so, it's no easy feat, and it's made all the worse by fighting and arguments amongst the group of what they should do next. If they're not careful, they may not make it over the mountain--especially since a bizarre and unnatural force called the Whispering Wind stalks the peaks, waiting for climbers to scale the cliffs so it can tear them down into the darkness.

In this exciting Dark Corps side mission (which takes place during the events of Alpine Rangers and Winter Watch) the flying team of Air Strike helps their fellow teams gather for the big final showdown against the Dark.
