She never forgot it, and after graduating with a degree in Illustration from the Art Institute of Boston in 1998, Skylar and Ana were still on her mind. Her bright and energetic illustrations, completed in 2005-2006, finally helped bring her characters to life.

Mimsie loves her toy mouse named Birdie. She plays with him and all of the time. But one day she tossed him too high throwing him out of a window What will she do? She's not allowed to go outdoors. Will she go outside anyways to get Birdie back?

Like most cats, CJ has many places to hide. She hides because her sisters Mimsie and Abby chase her a lot She finds the perfect cozy spot but what happens when her favorite hiding place gets her into trouble?

Everything makes Abby crabby. But what happens after a very special visit to the vet? Despite her attitude, She learns that she has nothing to be "crabby" about but much to be happy for.

The Break Through is a graphic novel with art and poetry. It's powerful with themes of redemption and restoration from a place of desolation. Art helps to heal deep wounds so creating this book helped me. My prayer is that it will lead broken people to hope and heal from past hurts or harmful habits.
