The author, Carol Cox, a former bio-medical research assistant, who discovered she had kidney disease at the age of 21, found strength and hope in the word of God. Currently a dialysis patient, she now works as an internet math tutor and is a loyal servant of God. She serves as Sunday School superintendent and teacher of her church, assistant to the youth department, volunteer tutor, and is a member of the local community mission society.
