Former detective Bill McCann thought his world was taking a turn for the better four years after leaving the police force following the unsolved murder of his wife. His new relationship with Sara Costello, however, begins destroying old ones as Bill struggles to maintain his sanity while pieces of his dead wife's last day mysteriously turn up. Bill's suspicions against his friends grow and he turns away from them to the only person he feels he can trust: Sara, a woman Bill believes he must protect as a link to solving his tragic past.
