Heart Attack is an anthology of love poetry. The poems within provide the reader with a delightful escape from reality, and range from sensitive, serious and heartbreaking, to humorous and thought-provoking.
Transitions: Love and Beyond is a book of empathetic poetry, dealing with emotions which beset us all when we experience romantic loss and death. The poems are observational, deeply reflective, and, upon occasion, rather quirky in nature - the object being to show the reader that the feelings we all experience in the saddest and most transformational moments of our lives aremore or less the same.
If you think life is tough, you won't like death. There is No Heaven or Hell, only the Gloom, a misty and unnerving void controlled by an indifferent council of demigods known as The Panel. In the Gloom, you'll spend an eternity of regret amidst devious Gloomers, the dark-eyed Halfborn, and sorrowful Glimmering Lights, at times staring wistfully out through the thinly-veiled curtain of the afterlife into the harsh glare of present day.Of course, you could choose to dwell amidst the living. But there, too, it is perilous even for ghosts, since you'll be seeking to somehow coexist with brooding Abstracts, vengeful Sallows, and evil Sables. No, the afterlife is no place for the fainthearted, which is why some ghosts are finally starting to change the rules...
The fable is one of the most beloved and easily recognisable types of literature. It is a story stripped to its bare minimum, written not only to amuse, but inform us of the consequences of certain types of behaviour. The fable also has a rich history, and, long before the advent of writing, was passed down orally from generation to generation in nearly every single country in the world. Needless to say, the best-known of these short stories have been ascribed to Aesop, and are at least two-thousand years old. But sadly, the fable is now deemed at best old-fashioned, and at worst archaic, and is on the verge of becoming a forgotten art form. So, in 100 Enchanting Fables, we now have an opportunity to revisit this lost world. Here, the reader will wander through a delightful realm in which animals, people, gods and the spiritual personifications of Death, Hope, Karma, Destiny and Fortune interact and resolve simple moral or practical riddles in a humorous, reflective or poignant manner. 100 Enchanting Fables is the first of two books of original and previously unpublished fables, and is suitable for anyone between 14 and 140 years old.
American artist John Alexander relocates to Paris in search of his muse, only to find himself falling in love with nurse Adalene Morel. However, John quickly discovers that the easygoing love affair takes its toll on his creative abilities. The Girl in the Rain is a humorous novella, relayed through a mixture of poetry and art, in which we find that the creative mind and the heart rarely see eye to eye.
