If Sam Elliot played John Wick you'd still only have half of Baer Creighton. (and it wouldn't be Sam's fault) ★★★★★ "I missed a night's sleep to finish this one." Sherry FoxWhen people lie to Baer Creighton their eyes glow red and he feels electricity on his arms. There's no such thing as a white lie. They all hurt the same. Baer keeps a small circle with his only honest friend at the center: a pit bull named Fred. It's a simple life but the conversation is good... Until Fred disappears. One moonlit night in October while Baer harvests apples from his dead neighbor's farm, he spots a chain of headlights departing the woods a mile off. A truck drops the tailgate at Baer's place and tosses Fred to the dirt. Armed with moxie and a moonshiner's know-how, Baer puts his truth-detecting skills to work to discover the villain. But he tips his hand and ignites a country war against a cabal steeped in blood sport and thirsty for violence. When the last twist unwinds you'll know you've found a new master of the dark surreal. And when you see what justice means to a man who will neither bend nor quit ...You haven't read a novel like this. I promise. Written as a standalone Fans demanded a series... READY TO MEET BAER? ★★★★★ "In short, I was left completely in awe." Seattle Book Review ★★★★★ "If you enjoy stories of betrayal and vengeance with just a touch of the unreal, My Brother's Destroyer is a fantastic read, and I highly recommend it for your next book."Manhattan Book ReviewThe world of Gleason is so immersive and Baer's vendetta so oddly compelling... fans of noir tales set in rural America will particularly welcome this addition to the genre. Kirkus Reviews ★★★★★ I was a little apprehensive at first about the subject of dog fighting as I am a very proactive animal rights woman but it was not written in a graphic way regarding that so if that's a concern no worries. The characters come to life so you can see them, you can even smell them, both human and animal. I can't wait to read what's next from this amazing author. ★★★★★ Loved this book, the best part was Stinky Joe and the whoppers. ★★★★★ When I started reading this book - I thought - no not for me - Im from South Africa - so no familiar with this speak, but as I got into the book, Oh my I got so fond of Baer and the whole gang of hooligans it just got to me - really good read. ★★★★★ Love this man. This story gives me hope for the world and our ideals. We all have a set of ideals which dictate right from wrong and sometimes the "world" gets in the way, but we always seem to remember at precisely the right time. Bravo ★★★★★ It was a thrill from first word to last. Written with language and colloquial realism and charm such as I rarely (if ever) encountered. Loved it I am a Baer Creighton fan forever

TREAD is the lightning-paced tale of a man who refuses to submit to corrupt politicians and their minions. If you like breakneck stories that fishtail through every corner, don't waste another second. Grab this book With an FBI sting on his misfit secessionist group closing in, Nat Cinder blasts from Flagstaff to Phoenix on his Triumph Rocket motorcycle. Soon he stumbles onto a packet of photos showing Governor Virginia Rentier lustily paired with three high-ranking women in state government. Though Cinder and the Governor clashed sixteen years before when his wife died in a car accident, Cinder prefers to keep his dislike of Rentier focused on her politics. But when the bullets fly, Nat asks questions, and learns the photos were placed in his path by a provocateur who knows he's a rough-hewn rebel with enough weaponry cached across Arizona to start a revolution, and the secret at the bottom of his wife's death will turn him into a powder keg. ★★★★★ Absolutely wonderful book "Suspense on every page. "A virile tale about a tough-as-nails Blackfoot Indian... a roaming badass... a well-crafted, solid thriller." blueink REVIEW SOLOMON BULL is the son of a rebel who died in the seventies fighting for the American Indian Movement. He trains for an Arizona race called Desert Dog, designed to shred a man, while using monkeywrench tactics to unseat a corrupt senator. Pursued by a smoking hot agent from the Treasury's Terrorism and Financial Intelligence office, a doe-like prostitute with burn marks on her back and a sick story about a corrupt senator, and by Cal Barrett--Desert Dog organizer and brain behind Operation Guillotine, set to decapitate the US Government--Solomon is about to learn if he is a mere man, or heir to his father's revolution. Manhattan Review gives SOLOMON BULL five stars and says, "All of the plot-lines feed in and out of the narrative, keeping the reader rushing to the end, much like trying a controlled run to the bottom of a steep hill." Baer Creighton Book 3 Luke Graves turned the family butcher business into an empire by cutting fat off the ledger as well as he cut meat off the bone. He also learned many men sold beef, but few sold girls and boys. Demand was high-especially for the ones with brown skin-and supply, small. Ten years later the family business included three sons and a distribution chain that delivered kids for any purpose throughout the western United States. One evening, returning to Williams, Arizona from a pickup in Sierra Vista, the tire blows out. A chavo bolts the truck and runs for the plain. Cephus Graves takes him down with a deer rifle, then fires at a stray pit bull that catches his eye.In the woods two hundred yards away, Baer Creighton looks up from his fire. He has a nose for evil men and he's found a clan of them. But he's met his match in Luke Graves. Baer bleeds in Pretty Like an Ugly Girl. Everyone bleeds. When you read the end, you'll go back to page one to do it all over again. Prepare yourself for a battle of good and evil unlike any you've seen. On his last day in power, with a blizzard threatening 18 inches of snow, Sheriff Bittersmith's is called to the scene of a crime. A farmer has been stabbed clean through the neck with a pitchfork. Two sets of tracks lead from the barn, and the dead man's frantic wife exclaims her daughter is missing. Convinced it was Gale G'Wain, the orphan who worked at the farm, Bittersmith follows the vanishing footprints into the storm. Three miles away, Gale G'Wain is alone and close to dead. He's holed up in an empty farmhouse, half-dressed and nearly dead after falling through lake ice. Innocent, but unlikely to ever stand trial in a town as corrupt as Bittersmith, he loads his gun and prepares to defend himself against the dead man's bloodthirsty sons and the Sheriff's Department. Set in small town Wyoming in the 70s and unfolding in a single day, Clayton Lindemuth's debut novel, Cold Quiet Country, explores small-town corruption and the lengths some people will go to exact revenge.

Readers Like You Say? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think this is Clayton's best book, lots of stories within stories, but the narrative of the pain of running long distances is excellent. I used to run 10ks and the mental strain is worse than the physical strain. Solomon Bull is a close second to this for Clayton's best. Great job... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was instantly immersed in this very different C.L. story. There was enough drama, (murder, abuse, betrayal, and even sadly suicide) to keep me turning the pages, but also a very personal and poignant layer of goodness and redemption that profoundly affected me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As always Clayton' stories are compelling. I make myself take breaks near the end just to prolong the intense suspense. His writing is the kind that makes me stop and reread sections because they are so profound. Love his books
