This edition of Kyng Supa Nova's Adventures is the first of a series about a modern-day family. During the global pandemic of COVID-19, they became closer and helped make a difference in their community Nova, the narrator and main character, is a part of a quintessential affluent African-American family residing in the United States of America, in the state of Georgia. As the world confronted an invasion of this novel virus, we all watched in amazement as superheroes surfaced from all walks of life. The realistic depictions of how Nova and his family overcame the fear of their new reality will truly inspire. Quarantined at home, they maintained as much normalcy as possible and enjoyed family time too. The shocking details about how Nova and his siblings coped with the news, that their dad developed the virus, are magical. Everyone took the responsibility to stay safe, wash their hands, and wear gloves, and masks within 6 feet of other people outside of their homes or while in public. Nova and his family introduce thought-provoking activities, like the Where's Waldo activity series. Nova enlists the help of his readers to find the globes scattered throughout his adventure. In conclusion, Nova addresses his readers and encourages them to express their feelings through a journaling activity. The goal of journaling is to encourage children to express their thoughts and feelings candidly and use their voices/words to create something beautiful. He prompts his readers to answer the questions he asked throughout the adventure if they have difficulty with ideas. Enjoy this adventure and look forward to many more to come
