In this, his first and only collection, which was compiled after getting off his posterior with the intent of finally doing something for posterity, the author has included fact and fiction-poetry, prose, songs, book reviews, published articles, a school paper, and even a dollop or two of that so-called "lowest form of humor" for which he could never apologize: the inescapable pun. You will also discover what passes for his face on the cover. As for the curious choice of title, well, take another look at the cover and you may notice that, instead of a forehead, the author's bulbous noggin came with a fivehead.
Alone with Abe / Schizophrenic Statue
Alone With Abe / Schizophrenic Statue is a book containing two plays that can be read in either order. Schizophrenic Statue is structured in a way that the audience is forced to experience the reality of the main character, Lewis Strange, and how he is stuck in a never-ending loop where he is trapped by his own thoughts. Lewis takes events that happen to him in his everyday life and incorporates them into his imaginary world. All of this resulted as a way to escape some very unfortunate events in his life. Alone With Abe is structured as a partner piece to Schizophrenic Statue. This play takes a look at Lewis Strange from the view of his doctors and his family members. As one reads the story, they are able to better understand the distorted reality of Lewis Strange and experience the frustration and never-ending battle of those around him as they try to communicate with him and help him find his way back to reality. These plays can be read in either order, but it is easier to understand if the reader starts with Alone with Abe even though Schizophrenic Statue was the original piece written.

"Read And Destroy the book that is. After years of archiving photos, scanning slides and looking for funding, a hardcover publication about the seminal UK skate magazine from the late ‘80s to mid- ‘90s can be in your hands very soon." — Free Skateboard Magazine "... an important piece of British skateboarding history that demands a space on your bookshelf." — Slam City Skates London For British skateboarders in the mid-’80s, RAD (aka Read and Destroy) was more than just a magazine. Before the X Games, before the internet, a whole generation of this once underground subculture relied on RAD to provide a beacon, bringing them together in spirit and in person. Under the guidance of editor and chief photographer, Tim Leighton-Boyce, RAD took on an experimental, irreverent approach with a vibrant, chaotic energy. The legacy of the magazine is an action-packed photo archive documenting a unique time, place and attitude, capturing the death and rebirth of skateboarding as it evolved into a mainstay of extreme sports and street culture the world over. This book reveals that archive in all its glory, offering an inside view of skateboarding and youth culture from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s, told primarily through the experiences of the British skate photographers at the core of the magazine’s original editorial team.
