Johnnie Mae Dixon took responsibility as the matriarch of the Black community in the ward called Jericho. In the late fifties, a bootleg war erupted. Sylvia, Johnnie Mae's daughter, was curious about what had happened. Johnnie Mae explained the real reason why the bootleg war started. This is the account Slyvia came to tell.
