The Twins of Narvik is a historical fiction of the period from 1912-1945 culminating in the events taking place in Norway in World War II. These include the Naval and land battles around the Arctic Port Town of Narvik, the attack on the Heavy Water facilities at Vemork, and the hunt for the German Battleship Tirpitz. The novel begins as a mystery, with a Texan Billionaire seeking to understand why his mother, as she slipped into dementia before her death, claimed to have been born in Norway and to have given birth to a pair of otherwise unknown twin sons. She further claimed her twin sons fought for their country in World War II. Diane Sterling and her international agency are hired to investigate this claims.The story she uncovers is one of multiple families over the time period of 1912 - 1945, spanning the countries of Norway, Poland, England, Scotland and the United States. As the story unfolds, the following events are incorporated into the storyline: The Gallipoli and the Dardanelles Campaigns from World War I and from World War II, the Invasion of Poland, the original breaking of the Enigma code, the creation of the Independent Polish Highland (Podhale) Rifle Regiment, the Dunkirk Evacuation, the Battle of Britain, the Death of General Sikorski at Gibraltar and the aforementioned events in Norway.NOTE THIS IS PART OF A TWO PART TITLE (Many of the events listed above are in Part 2)

They are soon captured by the Nazi elite mountain guards, the Gebirgsj gers, although they are thought by the Germans to be displaced local fishermen. The story. that unfolds is of their struggle to survive the war, including their resistance experiences throughout all Norway, including the Heavy Water raids at Vemork.Intertwined with the above is the tale of two Polish brothers fighting for their Nazi occupied country from France under General Wladyslaw Sikorski. Fate ties these brothers to the twin British Spies when Sikorski's Independent Podhale Riflr Brigade is dispatched to fight the Nazis at Narvik.This story is the continuation of the tale from the separate novel, The Twins of Narvik Part I.

This is the third installment in "The Life of Marek Zaczek" series, which covers the Partitions of Poland and the American and French Revolutions in "Volume 1: Under the Wings of Eagles" and the Coronation of Napoleon and the subsequent Napoleonic Wars in "Volume 2: Embers of Love and War." This third novel, "Volume 3: The Precipice of Peace" opens in Warsaw in January 1807 as The Grande Arm eoverwinters along the Vistula River. Marek Zaczek is called upon by the impetutious but heroic French Marshal Michel Ney, who leads his Sixth Corps north in search of food to forage. Soon, they stumble upon the bulk of the entire Russian Army conducting a surprise winter attack. The historical battles of Eylau and Friedland are covered in detail, as is the Peace Conference at Tilsit. Napoleon's continuing love affair with the beautiful young Polish Countess Marie Walewska is explored. After Tilsit, Marek is drawn into an elaborate subterfuge and is forced to attempt to rescue his mother, Magdalena, from the clutches of an old foe, imperiling Napoleon's newly established peace.
