A collection of sermons, preached in local churches over almost four decades. These biblical reflections and expositions are designed to help others appreciate and celebrate Advent.

Ancient Faith is a series of sermons from an ordinary church outside of Atlanta. These brief reflections on Scripture seek to define, illustrate, and amplify what faith actually is. Expositions from this single chapter of the Bible, featuring a Hall of Fame of Faith, show us also how faith-today-is still the same as it always was. Readers will be introduced to great exemplars of faith, and our aim is to point our friends today to more enduring models of true belief.

Divine Character is a set of profiles of leading members of the historic Westminster Assembly. Most of us will find that their enduring value still inspires us today. Surely, their spirituality exceeds that of average pastors and theologians; thus, we should set ourselves to learning from them. In addition to these brief bio sketches, an essay on the spirituality of the pastor-theologians and a bibliography are included.

Marriage is not supposed to be this hard Do you want to have a happy marriage? Or are you secretly more interested in finding a way out? Or in blaming the other person? Or in settling for a bitter, dull marriage?The goal of this short work is not so much to provide a totally systematic or comprehensive plan but to shed enough biblical help to assist normal humans. This practical volume traces the thought of the earliest Christians through the Reformation and up to recent times. The intent is to provide a sturdy study and apology for the historic view.

This collection brings together some of the finest minds on a crucial subject: how to embrace a Confession. These essays will not answer every question about the practice of confessional subscription, and it is admittedly limited in its primary focus to the domain of Continental and American Presbyterianism. It is only a beginning, but it should, however, spur a revival of seriousness about the manner in which the church holds to her confession. There is some diversity of opinion among the authors; such diversity has not been blunted or redacted.
