Den romerske forfattaren Juvenal (ca.. 55-138 e. Kr) skreiv unike satiredikt som skulle få stor betydning for seinare europeiske satirikarar. Juvenal klarar på ein underhaldande måte å fange storheita, grumset og den levande energien i kvardagslivet til romarane.
