This is an exciting story based on an event that scientists truly believe will happen again.

This story follows 2 different visitors to the mountain just days before the infamous eruption occurs. Bandit is going to the mountain with 3 of her friends; Reginald, Snowshoe and Wolfie, and have trouble finding some lodgings. The first place they try, the lodge run by Harry Truman who became an icon with Mount St. Helens' awakening, did not work. But they find salvation elsewhere at another lodge that was ran by 17-year old Candi and her family. Candi is also a great admirer of geologist David Johnston, who takes coffee at her hotel, and she becomes something of his "groupette".

At that time, Rivera kept a diary, and recorded daily events. Among them, the day she acquired Hutchess, and even the day the puppy fell mysteriously ill. One way how Ms. Rivera knows to get over tragic events like the death of her puppy is to write about them, so she took these events from her personal diary, and wrote about them with illustrations. It has come to create an amazing story that anyone who has ever known the tragedy of losing a pet should enjoy. In the end, Candi gets over her loss of Hutchess and gets another puppy. Inspired by Chuck Jones's cartoons about a coyote vs. a roadrunner, the Deinognathus makes one failed attempt after another to capture it's prey. It even goes so far as to pretend it is a female racer. So find out what other lengths the Deinognathus goes to to try and capture the racer. And if it even does manage to fool him.

The very first story where Odel and Swen are together as a mini-mob. In 1995, Ms. Rivera was heavily into Beavis and Butthead, and a lot of her stories at this time reflect a bit on that interest. So the idea of these mini gangs came into play. Swen and Odel are a couple of naive youngsters just out to improve their lives and make it more exciting for themselves. So they go to a diner, where beautiful girls are known to hang out at. They just want to pick up on some chicks. Genny and Eva are also in this story, and knowing Odel and Swen are such clueless youngsters, take advantage of their innocence and invite the boys to treat them out on a date. Little do Swen and Odel know Eva and Genny have a trick up their sleeve. This book has some mild language, and talks of sexual acts. Reader discretion is advised.

Martin agrees and tells Mushmouth to meet him at Rosa's to go. So he does, but when he arrives, Martin isn't there. He goes looking for Martin and believes he is somewhere in the house. But is surprised when he looks in the bathroom and sees Rosa in the shower! This is the last time Rosa is seen in this book. Martin finally shows up and they go to the movies. But surprise, Martin tries to buy their tickets and discovers he cannot because he lost his money! So now what do they do? They cannot get into the movies without any money. Find out what happens and if they do finally get into the movie. It is a great story, and good for people of all ages.

So, to play along, he makes up an initiation for them to follow, in order to get into his gang. At the same time, he thinks he can get them to bring him the girls he desires, who happen to be Genny and Eva. Swen and Odel fall for it for sure! They go into the strip joint to get the girls that Rudolf wants, but find out quickly that the girls are already taken by a mean pimp, who threatens Odel with bodily harm if he doesn't stay away from his women. At the same time, Rudolf is demanding that Odel go back and keep trying to get the other girl. It becomes a bit of a game of tag for Odel, as he tries to please Rudolf, and stay away from the bad guys. This story has some rough language, and scenes of violence. Reader discretion is advised.

Based on Rivera's own ex-supervisor at that job. Stacy snaps first at Mushmouth, and then snaps at Kathy as she tries to be the peacemaker for them. But Kathy looks beyond Stacy's evil attitude, and instead finds humor in her behavior. Find out what happens in this story. Especially for those who have always wanted to get even with their own employer! This story is a refreshing breath of air! The story has mild rough language. Reader discretion is advised.

Of course Candi is upset when she hears this, and bawls Leopold out, then walks out of the diner where they were having drinks. When Candi takes a long break in a far away field, she runs into Stacy as she trots along the field on horseback. Of course you can probably guess what Candi is thinking when she sees Stacy!
