This is a black and white edition with no color illustrations.Havard and Gunda are two polar bear cubs who live with their mother and father on the Coast of Northern Alaska. They had a little brother Markku who was lost in a tragic accident. Havard sneaks out alone while his family is sleeping, and overhears a father and son discussing Santa Clause, and all of the amazing things he can do. Havard decides to make the long journey North to search for Santa and to ask him to bring his little brother Markku back. Unknown to Havard, Gunda decides to follow her brother on his journey. Along the way, they meet an arctic fox who's name is Koen. Their journey leads them to the "Keepers of the Knowledge". The Keepers are a sea lion, a great walrus, and the elven queen. They possess the knowledge our young adventurers will need if they are to reach their destination. A destination they will reach if they can escape Einar the rogue. Their journey will be long and perilous, but nothing is going to stop these two cub adventurers from reuniting with their little brother again.

The simple act of cutting down a tree unleashes a plague that has lain dormant deep within the Brazilian rain forest for millennia. Within months, the civilized world has fallen. What few survivors remained were left to fend for themselves in a world overrun with the unliving. Jack is one such survivor. His sole purpose in life now is to ensure the survival of his family against the undead. Banded together with other like minded survivors, they are making their way south when Jack is infected. His fate sealed, the rest of the group moves on while a friend stays behind to help Jack end his life before he becomes a mindless flesh eater. But his story doesn't end there. A mutation within leads to his survival, and a desperate search to reunite with his family. Will he reach them in time before they succumb to the dangers of this new world?

What happens when we die? Cultures all over the world have their own ideas and it is a question that humanity has struggled with since the beginning."After Life" tackles this age-old and complex question. It provides a few of my own personal insights into what it means to exist in the vast universe. It touches on a few of the more popular belief systems along with evolution and a few other possibilities of my own. Culminating in what I believe to be THE answer to that ancient question. An answer that could possibly free us all from the shackles of religion by posing an even greater question. Are we immortal? If the answer to that question is Yes, then does the question of what happens when we die really matter?

Sam is sad that his dad is leaving home for a whole year. His dad is in the army. To Sam, a year seems like a lifetime. His father reassures him that he will be home before he knows it, but Sam is skeptical. Sam will soon find though that time flies while you are having fun, and keeping busy.
