Blessing and his friends have never heard of baseball in South Africa. The giraffes, wildebeests, ostriches, and all their animal friends gather around to hear about this new thing. Coach, an ole' country boy from Texas, is ready to teach them how to play. He shows them how to throw and catch the ball, to swing a bat, and to understand the rules. The animals have so much fun, and baseball is so popular among the animals it eventually becomes a weekend sport in the surrounding areas. But most of all, playing baseball taught them unity and sportsmanship. They all began to love one another for their own unique gifts and talents.
