This book contains some of the most beautiful and well-loved lyrics of Europe. The Gaelic short lyrics were composed by clerics in monasteries all across Europe from 8th to 12th centuries. The French and Spanish lyrics, equally well-known, were composed during the 12th to 20th centuries. The book also includes a written introduction to the lyrics of the original European Union which was known as Christendom. The lyrics are given in the original Gaelic, French and Spanish languages and include the literal translations. Included are verse redactions and also bios of the poets. A lyric is a poem which has been, or could be, set to music. Although the main emphasis is on readings, the author has set a few of the verse redactions to simple, well-known folk tunes to illustrate the relationship between words and music. The tonic sol-fa method of notation has been used and a key is to be found at the end of the book. The reader may wish to extend this experience to other lyrics.

Felix O'Neill and his friend Dr. Garzon investigate the secret sciences of the shapeshifter, the berserker and the werewolf. Here the master detective tries to solve a mystery in a remote swampland where a cunning murderer has terrorized the simple folk of the old waterways, jungles and fens. The question was, Who or what was the werewolf? Felix O'Neill had been working on a theory for some time that according to known science it is normally impossible to impersonate anyone in appearance, voice and personality to such an extent as to fool old friends. In fact, he believed that disguise was the key to the mystery and not merely an ordinary disguise but rather a high level of metamorphosis or shapeshifting. However Professor Vermillion, who was a science professor, believed that metamorphosis was not an acceptable explanation as it almost smacked of the supernatural. Felix O'Neill reminded her that it was a very natural process but of course too advanced for the scientists of today to quite understand. Dr. Garzon had come across those who sell their soul to the devil in order to gain power over others. They certainly had the power to delude others and to hide by disguise was a very great power indeed. The professor tells the others what she thinks of their analysis of the mystery - Dr. Garzon with all due regard to your religious beliefs and Mr. O'Neill with every respect to your scientific analysis and strong investigative imagination, can I humbly just point out that there is a disease of the genes known as lycanthropy or werewolfism. Also, it is well established that the full moon exercises a tyrannical power over the minds and bodies of humans. Lunatics are those who are over-sensitive to Luna - the moon. The tides are subject to the moon, so also are our bodies and our minds. If a person has somehow been born with wolf-genes or by some similar misplacement of nature, then surely the wolf or other animal in the human will spring out at the time of the full moon. Dr. Garzon avers to the others that the wolfman is a child of devilry not a chance mismatch of nature. He tells them that truly the wolf is an unlucky omen, death, disaster, doom and that the Good Book says - Beware of false prophets in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves and again - Ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. The professor warns the others that if there is any truth in their theories at all, then almost anyone could be the werewolf. Including you Professor Vermillion, says Felix O'Neill.

During his first few days at Seaview Estate, the curious relationship which existed between the governess and the secretary had simply excited Garzon's curiosity. But as the weeks passed he became more interested in the beautiful lady and was puzzled by her behavior and that of the amanuensis. Why was it that while she showed every symptom of being averse to his company during the day that she would walk about with him long after nightfall? What could account for the hypnotic power which Plumet most certainly exercised over the governess, Miss Songana? Dr. Garzon and Felix O'Neill talked many times about all the strange happenings at the old house. They agreed that something very sinister was going on and decided to investigate further. Eventually they would learn the terrible truth. The revelations came as a shock, the effect of which neither would ever forget.

In the days before written history, clues to everyday events can be found of the existence of a chariot-based civilization in the Western Plains of Russia and Mongolia. This pointed to a way of life based on chariots, horses and bronze-age weapons. These clues include aerial sites, chariots, jewelry, swords and axes. Evidently the charioteers lived, died and were buried in a horse-based way of life that was more advanced in terms of chariots that had been developed up to that time. This civilization had apparently covered much of the Asian and Chinese as well as the Russian Western Plains. It was a pre-Celtic way of life. We do not know the name of the tribes or what language they spoke. The islands and rivers had not yet been taken over by Vikings, as happened later. How did a pre-Viking and pre-Celtic civilization develop into the later domination of the Vikings which was spread throughout eastern Europe and western Asia and Russia? Obviously, pre-Gaelic and pre-Viking legends and myth need to be consulted. The longboats of war as well as chariots play a powerful part in these adventures. In those days the warrior queens as well as heroic Vikings played a large part. The latter-day wars organized by Queen Bodicea of Britain who drove the Romans out of the British Isles; Queen Maeve of Connaught who led the united armies of Ireland against Ulster were similarly heroic figure. These warrior queens were field-marshals and planners of war as well as chariot warriors. Perhaps the last of this line was Saint Joan of Arc. WALLWAVE THE SEA WARRIOR describes the supernatural origin of his birth, boyhood and early life with his father King Waterbear and mother War Queen Springvision and the struggles of his father King Waterbear to overcome the attacks of the western powers of darkness ruled by King Warchariot and his evil War Queen Snakeknife.

A retired SailorBoy, home from the sea, looked at an old postcard and dreamed about it. Suddenly the old postcard came alive. Once again he revisited the seaside resort where he had enjoyed fun with friends as a younger man. Out of the card stepped a young lady, a dancer, who began to show the SailorBoy around the Magic Mile - a place in the other world where all the funny postcard people had gone and where they still lived and sang their oldtime songs. In this time-warp, such characters came alive as the Grand Dame Knowitall; Lotsadebt, the villain and his pal BillBailiff; Skinny, the walking bones; Snooty, the upper-class drunk; a few seaside blondes; the Bearded Woman and the Fat Lady. Outstanding among the dancers was the young lady from the Good Old Days.

This time travel mystery is based on the author's belief that Christopher Columbus discovered America on a secret first voyage that took place before his official and well documented voyage of 1492. No other interpretation, says the author, who has studied the life of Columbus over a period of many years, explains all the known mysteries, queries and questions regarding Columbus and his fraudulent claim of discovery under the flag of Castile. This is the mystery of the man who stole two continents, North and South America, in two different ways - (1) legally from his former sovereign and (2) physically from its former owners the Amerindians. The story is told from the point of view of Dr. Solomon Cohen, who tells the story of how he and close friend, the Antiquarian, time travel back to 1500 A.D. where they sail the Spanish Main. There they investigate the alleged crimes of Columbus, who was at that time Viceroy and Governor of the New World as well as Admiral of the Atlantic. All characters, and major situations, although based on true life, have been entirely fictionalized. In this time travel mystery, do the Antiquarian and his friend, solve the mysteries of the great explorer? Well, it's a strange story . . .
