This is a story about tragedy, survival and triumph. Hanna and Railey Laine, with their daughter Chenny, are hitchhikers who love the freedom of the road. No responsibilities, just enough money from handouts to get by on and unrestricted choices about where they wished to travel. But their lifestyle belies the dark underside of hitching with it's untold dangers when Railey dies. Then Chenny is taken from Hanna when she is just beginning to heal from the loss of Railey. Heartbroken by the loss of her daughter, Hanna accepts a job as a waitress at a roadside diner in the dim hope that one day Chenny will find her way back. Will mother and daughter ever be reunited?
Effie Buran's been alone most of her life. Obese, with a large wart prominently displayed on her hooked nose, she knows her appearance turns most men off. Then Effie inherits an immense fortune, and everything changes. She's courted by Howie, a charming rogue who convinces her he's marrying her for love. And in a way, he is-a love of money. Effie's na ve enough to believe Howie until she catches him with another woman. Now she wants revenge. And when you're worth as much as Effie Buran, you've got the resources to get even-with interest. Traveling to an exclusive European spa, Effie transforms herself physically and emotionally. As she slims down, she finds herself intensely attracted to fellow spa resident Lorin, a scientist healing from a lab accident. She can't fully commit to him until she has her revenge on Howie, but once she does, Effie's all Lorin's. As for Howie, he'll never know what hit him. A comic but touching story of betrayal, revenge, and new love, Effie's Revenge reminds readers a scorned woman is a force to be reckoned with-especially if she happens to be Effie Buran.

The Teacher is merely the facilitator in this program -the student is the creator. What with the arts being taken out of curriculum, this program fills the vacancy for the student who requires the need for developing his/her artistic nature. It can be done successfully by using the arts and academics concurrently.
I found it difficult to find published music for my first and second year string students. My solution was to compose some. I wrote several compositions using basic techniques found in the introduction of the piece.
