There should be a restriction on how many enemies you're allowed to have. Five years after Alexis became a vampire she's come back to Seattle for a fresh start complete with a new apartment, potentially a new job and a new set of problems trying to deal with an extremely ruthless vampire she's never met before. There's also the mounting attraction she struggles to control towards a handsome detective she keeps running into, every time another body drops. Thankfully she has a good support system in place with the help of some friends, old and new. Now if she could just gain more control over herself around the detective and find a way to convince him she's not a killer. Well, not really.

It's a wonderful time for everyone with old friends returning and new family being discovered. Everything seems to be moving right along until a new bad element doesn't just move into town but shows up at the auction house to announce his presence. He is charming and mysterious, and from what Alexis can feel, more dangerous than any foe she's ever had. Once again Alexis and her friends must do whatever they can to protect themselves and the city from harm.
