Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a little girl named Isabel. It was Isabel's dream to become a fairy to help others with her magical powers, so she applied to a school that specialized in teaching little girls how to find their inner powers and strength to do good in the world. It was Isabel's first day in class, and she met her fairy godmother professor named, Lily. Lily was a kind and nurturing person who always tried to encourage her students to do their very best. Today, Lily said, we are going to learn one of the most important concepts in becoming a fairy, and that is how to fly. I will sprinkle fairy dust over each one of you, and with this dust, if you truly believe in yourself, then you will be able to do anything, including fly. All of the other students closed their eyes as the fairy dust was gently being sprinkled in the air by Lily. I can fly said Martha, one of the students. I can fly said Melinda, another one of the students. After a short time period, all of the students in the class were flying all the way up in the sky. Lily was so proud of all of them. That is all of them except for Isabel.

There she is with her beautiful wings, getting all of the attention as usual. She has so many friends, and everyone thinks she is amazing. It's not fair. I am just so ordinary compared to her. When I am next to her, I feel invisible. My name is Hilary, and I am a horse. I can run, but not really fast due to an ankle injury I had a while back. Penelope, the Pegasus, is sort of like a horse but with wings. She is the one I was talking about earlier. Everyone always asks her to give them a lift, and she agrees. They ride on her back and soar through the air. I wish I had an amazing gift like that, but I don't.One day, I got so tired of Penelope getting all of the attention that I just couldn't take it anymore. All everyone ever talked about was how great Penelope is, Penelope this and Penelope that. If I heard the word "Penelope" one more time, I was going to scream. So I started spreading a rumor around town that I heard Penelope crashed into a tree the other day and that it may not be safe getting rides from her. "I saw her crash into a bush today," I said to some of our neighborhood friends. We live in a small community, so it did not take long before the word got back to Penelope that I was spreading rumors about her. She was not happy with me. So she started spreading rumors about me to get back at me. Frieda, one of my friends, told me that Penelope has been telling everyone that I have a contagious disease, so they should not get near me. I couldn't figure out why some of my friends were avoiding me. It makes sense now.
