Taddy is a bird scarer, but spends much of his time watching the birds around him in wonderment. Like them, he dreams of flying away, and yearns for greater freedom and a better life. One day, he meets a mysterious stranger, Colonel Powhatten, who makes Taddy believe that his dream could come true.
