Ged Austin a Wythenshawe poet and author, brought up on one of it's council estates has written a classic book praising the great things about Wythenshawe. It's very entertaining and witty; a must read. Certainly he's an ambassador for Wythenshawe and it's one of his ambitions to focus the worlds spotlight on how cool this town really is, this book does that. Captured in the history and rhymes, is this wondering poets view of times. That have been played out on the land of Wythenshawe, this is a book you'll be glad you did explore.
An entertaining and wonderfully interesting magical book about a very mysterious British poet, known by the name of 'Jedi, The Urban Poet'. Who is he? Where does he come from? What has he got to say about life? When I was approached to do this book, as an author I felt privileged to publish Jedi's poems and reveal a small hint of his story, but I am still no wiser to who he is or where he really comes from, or where he is going next. All I know is Jedi the Urban Poet appears like a ship out of the fog and disappears like a shadow when the sun goes back in behind a cloud. He is a protester of lost causes and a friend of the underdog. The last words he said to me before he said goodbye were, "I' a citizen of nowhere but always homesick for somewhere." May all who read this book enjoy it!
Ged Austin's book, 'The Good Shepherd's Lie', has truly shocked the literary world in much the same way that George Orwell's animal farm and epic 1984 books once shocked the public of yesterday. Once you read this masterpiece, you will never see the world in the same way again. Imagine if your whole life had been a lie, and you only found out the moment you die. If nothing else you will love this satirical plot, and its magical ending is one that won't be forgot.
