The author's introduction states, The general subject of these lectures will be approached through three subordinate topics, viz. God and Nature, God and Man, God and History, dealing respectively with the physical world considered as manifestation for God, with the psychical world of human nature, involving a study of Hebrew psychology and some relevant topics, and with the capacity of history, especially the history of Israel, to be made a revelation of God.
