HIV and AIDS have the potential to undermine the massive improvements that have been made in global health over the years. AIDS epidemic is now witnessing feminization of epidemic .Women are most susceptible to the negative impacts- direct or indirect, i.e. infected or affected, of HIV and AIDS. Women has been regarded as "breeder, feeder and producer" and now in context of HIV/AIDS perhaps a transmitter of virus as well. Women''s risk of contracting HIV is interlinked with lack of access to information, services and commodities. Focusing on women''s vulnerability is the key to fight the epidemic of HIV. Women have poor access to information and education, which is critical in the context of HIV. Further, stigma also affects women more intensely than men, preventing them from accessing treatment, information and prevention services . So with this aim, the present book was written to lay the foundation for further research on larger scale to address affective and contextual issues in HIV spread and prevention including family health and cultural aspects of gender and power in efforts to halt the spread of HIV infection.

A transformer is one of the most common devices found in electrical system that links the circuits which are operating at different voltages. In spite of long war (almost four decades) and security issues in Afghanistan, there are environmental and electricity shortage issues. The war and climate changes caused the drought, air and water pollution, deforestation, soil degradation, overgrazing, desertification, and over population in urban areas, for instance, Kabul city; the pollution always cover the city especially in winter when the wood and coal-fired space heaters provide the houses heating increase the pollution. Before the civil war, there was electric bus system in the Kabul city. The electricity grid is limited to the cities and province centers. The power demand is increasing year by year. However, all residents of the cities don't have access to the electricity, and there is load shading issue, especially in Kabul city. The primary source of the electricity supply is the insecure and expensive imported power from the neighboring countries. However, there is the tremendous potential of renewable energies in the country. The existence of domestic clean energy resources, environmental issues, and decrease of renewable technologies cost created demand for power generation form the renewable resources.
