The scruffy and cynical Derek Blackstone, a Detective Inspector with the Vancouver Police Department but all the way from West Yorkshire England, is back with a bang...literally.Vancouver has come under attack from unknown protagonists suffering from three deadly bombings in very public places.Blackstone believes it will be dealt with by Special Forces but despite his best efforts to avoid any involvement finds himself and his side-kick DS Tony Hancock front and center of the investigation.Meanwhile there is the pesky issue of two murders of pre-teen little girls to be dealt with. The Lynn Valley Orchard Rules is a humorous look at a serious subject. It is set in an Addictions Treatment Centre fictitiously located in the Lynn Valley on Vancouver's beautiful North Shore. It follows the adventures of four main characters in the search of a recovery from the demons that plague their lives. There are some very funny moments mixed with some very tender moments that will keep you reading to the end in order to find out if they succeed or fail.
