Three people come together for the first time in post-World War II Vienna - Hannah, the half Jewish girl who has turned a blind eye to the horrors of the Holocaust, her grandfather Franz the Nazi collaborator who has grown rich on the backs of the Jews, and Gregor the Music Man, the gifted musician who has been to hell and back in the death camps and has survived thanks to a promise to tell the story of his people through his music. These three characters' lives become interwoven as they search for a legacy that brings meaning to their lives and the lives of Holocaust survivors, through the medium of music. The Music Man is a story of the triumph of the human spirit to overcome extreme challenges both external and psychological, to emerge into better selves as a result of all that life throws at them. It is a story of courage, of fortitude, resilience and above all, of love, in its many forms.
