Ryan Foster is a young man with no memory of his past who has spent the last few years of his life as an outcast in the village of Sorsan, but when an army of blood thirsty creatures called the Wulven attack he is pushed into unleashing a power he was unaware of having. While being hunted by Emperor Syban for unknown reasons Ryan and his teacher Nicholas travel to the Land of Eternal Rain where they will risk their lives to atone for the destruction caused by members of their civilization and try to answer the question Ryan has been haunted by for the last four years. Who am I?

With visions of things he has never seen and places he has never been flashing in his mind Ryan and his companions set out to find the "Ocean of Sand," to hopefully understand why it was burned into his thoughts. As they get closer to their goal however, they begin to discover the history of Gaia may be much darker than they had all been led to believe.

Ryan has acquired a memory of an ice castle somewhere in the frozen north. Deep within a large red crystal holds a prisoner captive. If he is to get there he will have to battle the Resai, a monster called the Mawboa, and a race of beast-men, the Beseti. Does the prisoner of the crystal know who Ryan is and will the young Terran survive long enough to find out?
