Later, he moved to America where, at the height of prohibition, he ran a speakeasy, or illegal bar. Back in Ireland, he spent several years in Dail Eireann, tried to establish a native film industry and continued to pursue a dream of a thirty-two county Ireland. This is a revised and updated edition of the successful biography, which was first published in 1981.
