Faces of Joseph is a story of a man born and raised in a preacher's home, who sets his sights on finding his purpose in life. He weaves a life in the Christian Church as a Presbyterian minister, where he finds partial fulfillment in social-political activism. In the sixties, Joseph involves himself in the civil rights movement in Selma, Alabama. In 1970 he unites with other ministers for an Intra-Faith spiritual quest which takes them to London, Geneva, Rome and Israel. In the 70s and later 80s the the author undergoes two dramatic changes in the desert of Arizona . In the first experience he chooses to walk away from Presbyterianism to Pentecostalism. The second experience follows several years later where Joseph discovers an inner world of the spirit that opens the door to new self-awareness. The book ends with an unusual chapter where Joseph meets two very special people in a dream. Here, Joseph stumbles on a fantastic discovery that will lighten as well as enlighten the heart of the reader.

This book begins with a "call for mediums." The answer fills the pages that follow. The author had no idea what would unfold, but his willingness brought many surprises - especially when his birth family came to write letters from the afterlife. He heard from a brother that was killed during WWII, a sister never met that died one day after birth, his mom and dad, and seven other siblings. These and many others are amazing stories. They teach us that death is not a great sleep, or the end of all consciousness. Death is transition to a different life with new beginnings. Their stories are of individuals experiencing love and progress in the afterlife - and on earth.

After twenty-five years in the Christian ministry, a crisis in 1986 prompted Joseph Babinsky to leave the Church and begin a fresh look at life. "Gentle River Flow" is a collection of writings, from the sublime to the seeming mundane. Essays on the subject of truth are juxtaposed with writings of an experience driving through a desert storm, letters written to a friend on the subject of the origins of Christianity and brief articles written about the experience of star gazing. Further essays are about UFOs and on the experience of a past life regression. Additional subjects include writings on writers' block, God-Talk, dreams, numerology, the human as a divine being, and stories about a stranger who reappears after a twenty year absence to help with a new aspect of a spiritual journey. The finished book offers the word picture of a river. There are places where the eddies are quite rough, and there are quiet pools where the water flows ever so gently. This is a book for casual reading and serious study containing many levels of awareness. "Gentle River Flow" is for the on-going spiritual journey and the expansion of human consciousness.
