I believe in Heaven. But this isn't just a book about Heaven, however. It's a book about hope. It is a book about where, or who, or what we hope toward. Because what we hope toward is what we live toward. And I don't think our hope should be in some far off place that has nothing to do with where we are right here and right now.

One of the main metaphors that God uses in describing His kingdom and purpose in the world is a party. But all too often, many of us have church experiences more similar to a funeral. This was never God's intention.
