As a super-intelligent organism with little to no challenges or excitement in life, Jake Matthews is bored out of his mind. Speaking of his mind, it drives him insane. So insane, that it manifested a dark side that's haunted him since his childhood. Also, his best friend, Thalia, moved back to her home country and she's been racing through his mind ever since. With no purpose, nothing to motivate him, and the relative peace and quiet that surrounds him, Jake has developed himself into a sociopath.One night, while going about his listless existence, he is dragged away to another dimension to a planet known as Figueroa. On this planet, he meets The White Figure General, X-Otropolis, who tells Jake he's been chosen to stop The Great Figueroan War and defeat The Black Figure. Understanding what going on, but not really comprehending the ramifications, Jake blows if off and continues his listless life.The next day, he is dragged back to Figueroa again where he is forced to lean swordplay and develop his might as well as his already overdeveloped mind to save a planet that is more connected to Earth than he thinks as The Great Figueroan War spreads across dimensions, where Jake not only has to save two worlds, but must enlist help from unlikely allies including Thalia, the girl he thought was lost to him forever.
