This is Joy Alesdatter's first volume of poetry spanning thirty-four years of poetry writing. This is the second edition with a few minor revisions from the first.
This is Joy Alesdatter's second volume of poetry. She published her first volume in November 2011. It is entitled "What I Take For Granted." Since then she has added another thirty-five poems to her life's work. This volume includes those most recent poems.
Kate, the daughter of a Lutheran pastor and straight "A" student, is Jasmine's best friend in high school, 1976. Basketball is their life. As their friendship changes, Kate finally realizes her first relationship has to be with herself.
I created this volume of a few new, previously unpublished poems and many older, previously published poems in a collection for comfort and consolation. We unexpectedly lost our nephew recently. These poems are offered as a blessing for us all.
May 2014, I am diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This is our story about finding our way back to health. I write to let people know sometimes surgery and chemotherapy do work. Michele, my wife, and I are so grateful for our life together. Blessed be.
