"Life is a journey and we do not know where it will take us..." My story, that I have called 'Once Upon a Paddock', began life purely to preserve my memories in case there came a time when I could not share them. I have had some wonderful times over the years. I never for a minute thought I would have a book published, let alone thirteen children's books. I never in my early years dreamed I would invent little characters called The Wobbies who could also have a huge impact on my life, and take me on their amazing journey of development and creativity. Please enjoy these early memories of mine, as I enjoyed writing them. "A special read. Well, can't a clever Sulphur Crested Cockatoo named Cockie have fun Meet Cockie, who spent his youth a long way from the city, living with a loving family. Cockie is cheeky, naughty, intelligent, and has a wonderful memory and sense of humour. He has the freedom to fly away wherever, whenever he wants. Yet he doesn't. His life is nothing but fun, (for him), yet expensive and embarrassing for Peter, his best mate and landlord. Cockie never bites his human hosts, but his beak gets him into a whole lot of trouble. So does his tail end, when he perches on top of the chimney above the cooking pot Welcome to life in the bush through the eyes of a crafty Cockatoo. I bet you can't help but snigger here and there at his cheeky antics.
