""I forgot "" How many of us have heard those words from our own mouths after we failed to remember something important? God's people, both in the Old Testament and his redeemed today, are guilty of forgetting what matters most in the busyness of daily life. Is it any wonder that in the Law of God, the Torah, three festivals a year were to be attended by all Jewish males to reflect on God's grace, goodness, and revealed truth? In Deuteronomy 6:9-12, the people were to put God's word on their doorposts so that they would not forget his commands and acts of deliverance when they settled in the promise land. In the New Testament, Jesus institutes two ordinances (baptism and the Lord's Supper) for the church to practice in order to remember and reverently celebrate what he accomplished on their behalf. Throughout Holy Scripture, God calls his forgetful people to reflect on and remember his past works, so they may see his everlasting glory. Taking a journey through Holy Week in the Gospel of Matthew is another opportunity to reflect on the person and work of the Lord Jesus. Holy Week begins on the first Sunday before Resurrection Sunday (Easter) and reflects on the events of Jesus' last days leading up to his crucifixion and resurrection. This journey through Holy Week is meant to remind us of the person and work of Jesus so that our affections will be stirred and our mouths will praise him to the glory of God the Father. Justin Miller is a husband, father, pastor, and most importantly a follower of the Lord Jesus. He holds a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Accounting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. After many years in the business world as an auditor, Justin entered full-time ministry in 2012 as the lead pastor of First Baptist Puxico. He is the author of two other books entitled Stop Worrying, He Reigns (2018) and Genuine Christianity (2017).

Stop worrying. That is easier said than done. One of the greatest struggles in many of our lives is anxiety, dread, fear, and the feeling of hopelessness. In Stop Worrying, He Reigns, we take a journey through the book of Esther to discover the timeless truths regarding the sovereignty of God and its practical application for our anxious hearts and heavy souls. We are compelled by a storyline where God's name is never mentioned, yet he is the main character directing every piece of the story. In these truths, we find comfort, hope, and rest, the strength to be bold even in dire times. We learn to stop worrying, for he reigns. ""In an age when many professing Christians live daily life as if God does not exist, this book is a refreshing reminder of the sovereign providence of God in our daily lives. Through joy and sorrow, through blessing and tragedy, God rules with care and omniscient wisdom. This book is a welcome encouragement to look beyond our circumstances, good or bad, and see the glory of God who is working through them for His glory and our good."" --Phil Bray, pastor ""Justin reminds us that worry is a control issue. A life that is not controlled by worry is a life that knows and trusts that God is in control. Justin walks us through the book of Esther, diligently showing us the hidden hand of God working behind the scenes for His glory. Thanks Justin This book will help us worry less and trust more."" --Kenny Qualls, pastor ""Someone once said something like this: 'Worry is worthless, it spoils the present and poisons the future.' No one wants to worry, but we all do. Justin helps us raze our gaze from worry's ugly to God's beauty. Read this book if you want to resist worry in view of worshiping the God who is for you."" --Darrin Patrick, Author Justin is a husband, father, pastor, and most importantly a follower of the Lord Jesus. How is God to be worshipped? In our modern context there are so many approaches people take to the worship of God, both corporately as well as individually. The greatest issue the evangelical church faces in our time is not the decline in the morality of our society or even the secularization of our Western context; rather, it is the forsaking of the true worship of God. It is the neglect of living out a cherished doctrine of the reformation ""Sola Scriptura."" God is the object and consumer of worship. Therefore, his word given to us governs us in our worship of him. The people of Israel are told by Moses in Deut 12:32: ""Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it."" The Lord Jesus told the Samaritan women in John 4:24, ""God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."" God spells out with crystal clarity how his redeemed are to worship him. In True Worship we will explore what biblical worship of the triune God is and why it is crucial in our time and for all time.

John Owen was a scholar, pastor, dissenter, and faithful follower of Christ in a tumultuous time. He gave himself to the study of Scripture out of an abiding love for the glory of God amongst the people of Christ. John Owen's works have greatly influenced Western Christendom in the centuries that have passed, and his concern for the true church shines powerfully forth from his writings. The aim of the book is to examine John Owen's view of the biblical role of a pastor with regards to the ministry of preaching the word of God in the life of a local church. The goal is to understand and evaluate John Owen's thought, from Holy Scripture, with regards to pastoral preaching. This book seeks to unearth from John Owen's writings the various aspects that affect pastoral preaching, his understanding of a True Gospel Church, preaching as the priority for a pastor, and what exactly constituted faithful biblical preaching. Furthermore, this book will seek to make conclusions concerning John Owen's view of pastoral preaching and its faithfulness to Scripture.

How is the totality of Scripture to be understood? How is sinful man brought into a relationship with God? In the opening pages of Scripture, we read of God's covenant with Adam and all he represents (humanity). If Adam obeys the covenant he will live, yet if he disobeys, he and all in him, will die. Upon the fall of Adam in Gen 3 we read of another covenant, an unconditional one, of the serpent bruising the Seed of the Woman's heel and the Seed of the Woman bruising the serpent's head (Gen 3:15). We read of grace. This book operates as a primer that outlines the Covenant of Works and the Covenant of Grace from Gen 2-3 to uncover the reality of man's ruin in the garden and his redemption in Christ.

What a privilege it is for God's people to have the complete canon of Holy Scripture In Deuteronomy 11:18-21 we observe the unchanging intention of God for his people to grow in their knowledge of him through the family setting. Faithfulness as a family to grow in the Scripture was connected, in Deuteronomy 11:21, to the outcome of the family enjoying the promises of God given in the Mosaic covenant. God's precepts, commands, and promises are a blessing to be enjoyed by his redeemed people in Christ, especially in the family setting. This book aims at being a guide for families to use in their daily family worship of God from the word. If God's word is the means that God has ordained to call his people to Christ and change them increasingly into the image of Christ, then imagine the joy that awaits families if we were more intentional with the word--more intentional to daily read the word, memorize the word, grow in the doctrines of the word, and sing together the truths of the word. Why not take a family journey through doctrine and find in the word the Triune God who alone saves and satisfies?
