This book gives a fresh, maybe controversial look at some popular sayings we have grown accustomed to hearing. Some popular sayings maybe endorsed or otherwise challenged. Another perspective on the things we were taught as youngsters. Time and development in research and technology may also render some of those sayings as redundant.

Poiketen Crowleyn fallosentrisestä magiasta, Grantin luotsaama ”tyfoninen traditio” nosti jalustalle feminiinisen luomisvoiman ja ammensi crowleylaisen theleman ohella opetuksiaan mm. tantrasta, Advaita Vedanta -filosofiasta ja taiteilija-okkultisti Austin Osman Sparen teorioista. Massiivisen Tyfoniset trilogiat -kirjasarjansa ohella Grant jätti painavan jäljen myös okkulttiseen fiktioon ja weird-kirjallisuuteen.Grantin kaunokirjallisen tuotannon helmi on vuonna 1997 julkaistu ”Valoa vasten - Yöpuolen kertomus” (eng. ”Against the Light - A Nightside Narrative”). Teos on Grantin kvasi-biografinen sukellus kabbalistisen elämänpuun pimeälle puolelle, jossa kietoutuvat yhteen niin tyfoniset teoriat, Crowley, ufot, 1500-lukulaiset noitamenot, lovecraftilainen mythos kuin myyttisiin mittasuhteiseen kasvava loitsukirja. Teoksesta on havaittavissa kaikuja Grantin merkittävimpien kirjallisten esikuvien Arthur Machenin ja H. P. Lovecraftin tuotannosta.Ensimmäistä laatuaan oleva Grant-suomennos toimii jatkona Abraxas Publishingin aiemmin julkaisemille Arthur Machen ja Algernon Blackwood -suomennoksille ja tuo näin päätökseen kustantamon okkulttisen weird-kirjallisuuden trilogian. Teos alkaa Grantin, Machenin ja Blackwoodin tuotantoihin perehtyneen väitöskirjatutkija Antti Litmasen kattavalla johdantotekstillä ”Veli Aossicin maaginen maailma”, joka avaa niin Grantin henkilöhistoriaa ja okkulttisia teorioita, hänen luotsaamansa Tyfonisen O.T.O.:n ja Uusi Isis -loosin varhaisvaiheita, kuin Grantin kirjallisia vaikuttimia.
