Philippe DeLeon, a fashion model from Paris discovers that he is blocking a memory from his childhood. He returns to his home town to look for it, and doesn't like what he finds, but from it is led to a life much different than the one he thought he'd chosen. Written like a slice of life in the modern day world, he undergoes a slow transformation. Beauty is not what he thought it was, love is not what he'd always felt, and a smile can reflect so much more than just a cheery disposition.
